Project – GR Engineering Air Conditioning Upgrade
Engineer – Wood and Grieve Engineers
Customised Mechanical Projects were engaged by the client to upgrade 3 Custom Ducted AC Split Systems in some existing internal plant rooms. There were three existing Hitachi 35kW-50kW Ducted Split Systems installed in 3 separate pressurised plant rooms that had hit the end of their impressive 25+ lifespan.
Finding a system that would meet the capacities not to mention the plant room dimensions created a massive challenge but with some work with a local manufacturer we were able to come up with a solution.
Our Scope of Works including decommissioning and removal of the existing system and installation of a new concrete pad to house the new Condensing units.
CMP had to plan out a staged installation program so the tenant would not lose all their climate control through the middle of Summer. This meant we would need to complete the work in an operating office which holds its own difficulties. GW Air and NRP handled this with no fuss and worked in well with the staff trying to keep interuption down to a minimum. This meant starting on site at 6am to get the messy, noisy works out before most of the staff arrived at work.
CMP completed our works in 4 weeks and Flowtech WA Commissioned up the system to make sure airflows matched the Pre Installation Tests completed.
Thanks to Tanza and the staff at GRES along with all the trades involved for making this project another success for CMP.
