Department of Health – Staff Diner AHU Upgrade
Engineering – WGE Engineering
Builder – CMP Head Contract
CMP were successful in their bid to complete the Air Handling Unit Replacement servicing the staff dining area. This project help a lot of challenges for the team.
Decommissioning Stage – All systems needed to be safely isolated and then decommission, dismantle and remove the extremely large/heavy existing Air Handling Unit through a 800mm wide doorway. We then needed to dispose of this into site bins located in the delivery dock on the opposite side of the hospital whilst making sure all dust and offcuts are fully covered through the move.
New Works – Skilled Air provided the New AHU and their staff were engaged to build the new unit on site inside the plant room due to space restrictions. Our installation team were then required to install the new associated duct work, chilled water and steam lines over a 4 week installation process without impacting on a fully operational Staff Dining Area. This was achieved without one single complaint from the staff so thank you to Luke Murphy and all the team for their hard work. Another successful CMP Project completed for the Department of Health.
