Department of Health – RPH Stairwell Modifications

Engineering – Link Engineering
Builder – CMP Head Contract

CMP were successful in their bid to complete the upgrade to the Pressurisation Systems at the existing Royal Perth Hospital. Our scope was to complete a phased correction plan of the following on 25+ Year Old Pressurisation Systems in 13 Stairwells over 3 Building Blocks.

Phase 1

Pretesting of each floor of each stairwell whilst working around the access and operation of a working hospital. Assessing results and reporting back to the Engineers and RPH
Phase 2

Supply and Installation of Speed and Pressure Control of each Stair Press Fan
Recommissioning and tuning to comply to the Fire Engineers Independent Report. Assessing results and reporting back to the Engineers and RPH

Phase 3

Making slight Building modifications to meet Engineering guidelines. Retesting and assessing results a third time before final sign off.

The project was time consuming but rewarding knowing we were able to deliver on the results and a high level of quality. All involved were happy with the outcome. Thanks to Luke Murphy and the team for their hard work on this project.
